Although the movie is not perfect and does have some issues, these being the last half an hour having close ups and crash zooms and some characters not being fleshed out. If you are a person who enjoys some of "Ben Affleck's" films then I highly recommend you watch "Argo" as it has amazing acting, a terrific score and a stunning climax. "Argo" for the first hour and a half is filmed exceptionally, but the last half an hour the cameraman uses unnecessary crash zooms, close ups and shaking the camera. "Alexandre Desplat" does a stunning job at creating sad, dramatic and a suspenseful music score. "Ben Affleck" gives an amazing performance as "Tony Mendez" and truly deserved to win all of its awards. One thing that is an issue is "Mendez's" son and wife, they aren't really fleshed out as well as they should've been.
The climax of the film is very intense "Mendez" and his crew is constantly getting interfered with their plans. When watching these scenes the audience learns more about what type of person "Tony Mendez" really is. These scenes are interesting and sometimes humorous to watch. For the most of the movie it shows "Tony Mendez" working to make sure that his movie "Argo" will allow him to enter and exit Iran. The scene is edited to show the real event and the movie, which is edited well. The opening scene to "Argo" shows Iran's downfall and the people's rage being taken out on the "United States". has an elaborate scheme to make a "fake" movie so he can travel to Iran and rescue the six Americans.
Set in the late 70's early 80's the plot to "Argo" is that six Americans that are being held in "Iran" and a man named "Tony Mendez" portrayed by "Ben Affleck" who works for the C.I.A. Reviewed by: "Argo" perfectly tells the story of War and Drama. Overall, a tense thriller based on true events that were only recently detailed but does take a while for the film to get going.

It did however take a while for the film to get going but once in full motion, the tension just kept building. The introduction was informative, setting up the Iranian revolution and the current state of play in Iran. The direction was exciting with crafty camera shots, good editing and a variety of different styles being used, definitely worthy of the Academy Award for Best Director. The supporting cast were also excellent especially veterans Arkin and Cranston. Having finally now watched this, I can tell you that this was a tense thriller! With Affleck starring and directing, you can tell he was giving his all and he was superb. I remember back at the awards season of 2012, Argo was the film to beat and I never managed to watch it. A film that I can only describe as Ben Affleck's baby, Argo is about the true story of the US embassy in Tehran, Iran being raided with 6 Americans stuck in Tehran as refugees, but it's only a matter of time before the revolution find them.
